Spring has Sprung and Gardening has Begun
/As an emeritus Master Gardener with the University of Minnesota, I have been asked thousands of questions about gardening in my 26+ years of volunteering my time to assist Minnesota Gardeners. There are hundreds of resources for the home gardener, covering topics such as growing annuals, perennials, vegetables, trees, shrubs, identification of insects whether friend or foe to the garden, and what to plant where.
One of the most inquired about topics is how to create a beautiful, lush, and weed-free lawn. Here is a link to the research-based information compiled by the experts at the UofM - https://extension.umn.edu/planting-and-growing-guides/lawn-care-calendar. This page also contains links to other gardening topics, from how-tos to diagnostic and identification tools. I encourage all gardeners, whether beginner or novice, to utilize the plethora of information that is provided by the University’s Extension Service on this website. Even a 26-year veteran like me can learn something new!
